About Materia Prima From an early age, Materia Prima has been drawn to world music, particularly influenced by the traditional rhythms of his roots. In 2017, he began exploring musical sets, fusing genres such as Afrobeats and Hip-Hop. His repertoire has since expanded to include new styles like Amapiano and Afrohouse. He is passionate about creating warm, immersive atmospheres, carefully shaping the rhythm and energy of his sessions. He loves the warm-up, guiding the audience through different moods and moments of the night—surprising and connecting along the way. His dive into Afrohouse emerged organically through exploration and musical learning, marking the beginning of his journey as a producer. Main gigs: Café Berlín, Clamores Club, Sala Villanos, El Sótano, Mística Edition, Macera Club, and Casa Suecia (Madrid); as well as Puerto Rico Club (Hanover), Ottawa Palace (Ottawa), and La Porte (Montreal). He dreams of creating Afrohouse music that incorporates the sounds of his native Cameroon and other parts of the world, with the goal of continuing to surprise and connect through music. In addition to his DJ career, he also works as a model, serving as a brand ambassador for DVLD and having modeled for SSENSE SKIMS.
